Me, Him, Them, and It by Caela Carter

I started reading this book with great reservation. In my experience books like this one always have me frustrated through the whole story. When it is all over I usually hate the book and the decisions the authors made for their characters. But this book is the exception. I loved every minute of this novel. So much so that I started reading it at midnight and stayed up till 4 to finish it. That doesn't happen to me very often, so that should tell you right there how good this book truly is. It had me flipping through the pages like I was eating chocolate, just gobbling every little bit up and it left me wanting more.
The main character is a mystery to me. I love that I never really understand her like you usually would by the end of the book. I think that is one of the things that makes this book so interesting. She is not the average teen pregnancy story. She doesn't think like most of us would. She tortures herself through the entire book. Not to say that she was doing everything she did as a punishment. I love how she is so conflicted but makes everything seem like an extremely easy decision. But in reality she was ready to explode with of the turmoil she had bottled up inside.
I give this novel a 5 out of 5! This is one of those books that you will be hiding in your desk at work for the 2 minutes you can spare to read it when no one is watching. These types of books do not usually appeal to me but this book was wonderful. It kept me interested and had me constantly thinking. I recommend that everyone should read this book even if you don't think you'll like it. Step out of the box and try something new.
Expected Publication: February 5, 2013!
